Talking About Preservation: On site at Lambert Corner

-

The Wilton Historical Society is proud to partner with Preservation Connecticut for a talk and tour of the Society’s Lambert Corner On Saturday, November 2nd from 11:00-1:00, Director Nick Foster, will talk about the historic buildings and how they have been adapted for new uses by local businesses. Since its founding in 1938, Wilton Historical Society has championed the Preservation of historic buildings and restored 17 of Wilton’s diverse historic structures, which otherwise would have been demolished. Since 1965, the property known as Lambert Corner, has grown from one original house to a nine-Structure complex of 18th- and 19th- century buildings. This talk and tour focused on Adaptive Use, the concept of using old buildings in new ways, will show a sustainable model for how historic sites can think outside the box for using their buildings.

The talk will begin at 11:00am at the main campus located at 224 Danbury Road and then move to a tour at Lambert Corner, located at 150 Danbury Road. This event will be rain or shine!

Registration is required – space is limited. Register here.
