Colonial Tavern Night

COLONIAL TAVERN NIGHT IS BACK!

By popular demand, the Wilton Historical Society is thrilled to announce the return of Colonial Tavern Night. Join us for an evening of great food, drinks, games, and trivia!

Taverns and inns were an integral part of 18th century Wilton, serving as restaurants, bars, rest stops for weary travelers, and community centers. These businesses were so vital that for a time, Connecticut colonial law actually required several towns to have at least one tavern open. On October 5th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Wilton Historical Society will party like it’s 1779 by hosting its own one night only tavern at the museum!

New this year – celebrate Wilton with an add-on of a custom engraved pint glass to use at the event! Limited supply, purchase yours now!

Attendees can participate in that evening’s history pub trivia contest, and winners will receive two complimentary tickets to the upcoming Colonial Wilton Historic Homes Tour on Saturday, November 16th, led by HisTOURy.

Ticket includes open bar of beer, wine, cider, and cocktails, with food courtesy of Jeff’s BBQ.

Hard cider samples provided by Shawn and Farah of Wilton Cider House – home brewers and hobbyists wanting to share the magic of cider making utilizing this age old technique….

Handmade cocktails courtesy of Barrelsmith Liquors

Handcrafted beer from Twelve Gods Brewery!

This event is for adults 21+.
Tickets are $60 for members, $75 for non-members.
