The Wilton Historical Society keeps our stories
alive while fostering the next generation of history makers. With approximately 4,000 annual visitors, WHS is a focal point for those who are curious and engaged in our community.

Sponsored Achievements in 2022

Last year our content reached over 220,000 people across social media, website, and in-person visitors, including at exhibitions like Lives and Landscapes: Art from the Permanent Collection, and events such as The Great Trains Holiday Show.

Goals for 2023

This year’s corporate sponsorships will fund a fresh line-up of programming to engage Wilton’s many new residents. Your donation keeps ticket prices low, so more people are able to attend. Highlights for this year include:
● Demonstrations by a blacksmith working at an original
● 1860’s forge and hearth cooking in a 1770’s tavern kitchen
● Fun and educational family events like a September “Back to School” Trivia Night
● A History of Beer lecture and tasting
● Wilton Works exhibition focused on the changing nature of labor in the community


Annual Sponsorship Opportunities

All corporate sponsors will be recognized on our website and social media. Additional benefits include:

$5,000 and up

● Opportunity to place your logo on one of seven different gallery spaces across the museum
● Free quarterly use of an event space
● Introduction of your company at the Society’s Annual Meeting and gala events

$2,500

● Logo on the donor board in main lobby
● 6 complimentary tickets to Society’s gala events
● Twice annual use of an event space

$1,000

● Listing of your company on donor board in main lobby
● 2 complimentary tickets to the Society’s gala events
● Annual use of an event space

$250

● Listing or your company on donor board in main lobby
● Prominent “thank you” on social media for one educational event


Special Projects and Additional Opportunities

Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program

 

 

 

 

 

The Society participates annually in a program giving businesses a tax credit of 100% for contributions for approved energy conservation programs. With a minimum of $250 contribution, your business can subtract the donation amount from your CT state taxes.

This year’s project is new energy efficient roofs for the Lambert House and Train Station. These are two of the most historically significant buildings in Wilton, with the Lambert House featured on Wilton’s town crest, yet the cedar shingles on their roofs are splitting and water is leaking through. Your donations will provide new insulation to make the buildings more efficient, comfortable, and sustainable as well as new:
● shingles
● ice shields
● copper valleys
● cedar ridge cap
Make a donation before October to receive a tax credit equal to 100% of your donation.


The Great Trains Holiday Show

For the first time ever, the Historical Society is inviting sponsorship of our annual Great Trains Holiday Show. With over 3,000 visitors between Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King Day in January, your company will reach many families during the peak holiday season.

Train Show volunteers and visitors come from across Fairfield County and beyond for this destination event. They often round out the day with a visit to local businesses and restaurants. Custom sponsorship packages range from $500 – $2,000 and include benefits such as:
● Employee volunteering opportunities during set up and on event days
● Inclusion in our Shop and Dine Local pamphlet
● Special thanks in promotional materials, social media, and the Train Show webpage which receives nearly 9,000 unique visitors
● Free use of gallery space for a festive after hours holiday event
