Join us for a fun lesson about maps! Help us uncover the hidden treasure!

Before the days of GPS and smartphones, people had to rely on maps to find their way around. Maps help people get from one place to another, and they provide us with useful information.

Maps can give us a glimpse into faraway places and show us how places have changed over time. In order to read and use a map properly, you need to understand the map’s tools. During this program, we are going to learn about reading maps, take a look at historical maps of Wilton, and you will create your own map!

This program will include a snack of Toaster Strudels. Use icing to sketch out a map on your strudel snack!

Suggested for ages 8 – 12.
